ABOUT US
What began with eight people living in obedience has turned into countless numbers of lives being saved and changed all to the glory of God at the Light House on the Lake.

Our STORY
A SECOND CHANCE.
Lake Fork Baptist Church was started January 26, 1997, as a mission church of First Baptist Church Winnsboro with Brother David Smith as the pastor. The church was almost named "Second Chance Baptist Church" because Brother David believed that everybody deserved a "second chance" to live for the Lord.
The first service consisted of eight people. The church met in various buildings around the county until the construction of the first church on November 9, 1997. Within four months, the church outgrew its first building. A second auditorium was built and the church moved into the new building on October 17, 1999. By this time, the church had relinquished its mission status and became an autonomous Southern Baptist Church.
In 2002, the church began building another new auditorium. The first service was held in the new auditorium on Easter Sunday 2003.
A new Education Building was completed in June 2008 and was named, J. David Smith Education Building, after the founding pastor.
In 2020, the Children's Ministry Building was completed.
In 2024, the Long Range Planning Committee along with the Finance Committee presented their recommendation to build a Multipurpose Student Center. Construction should commence in the Fall of 2025.
As we reflect back on what God has done here at Lake Fork Baptist Church, we look forward to the future with excitement! May we continue our Legacy of Faith.

ABOUT GOD
We recognize that there is one and only one living and true God, whom exists in three persons - Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit - but without division of nature, essence, or being. ABOUT FELLOWSHIP
We will actively pursue personal, family, and staff relationships characterized by integrity, mutual accountability, mutual serving, mutual encouragement, and mutual honoring. Romans 12:10; 1 John 4:7-11
