LFBC MINISTRIES

Lake Fork Baptist Church is committed to helping you feel connected! We have multiple outreach and fellowship-based ministries that help build the faith and community of our church family.

MEN'S FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

BROTHERHOOD BREAKFAST

Join together with other men from the church and community for Christian fellowship. We meet for breakfast and a time of fellowship quarterly on Saturdays at 8:30 AM in the Family Life Center. If you would like to volunteer to help make and serve breakfast for this ministry, contact Marvin Marshall  at 903-590-0607. WORSHIP

LFBC CHOIR

If you would like to help lead our congregation in song, please join us for choir practice on Wednesdays after the evening service. We are currently taking a Summer break. Choir will resume in August.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

FEED MY SHEEP

Our Feed My Sheep Food Pantry aims to reach those in our surrounding communities and church family with immediate food needs. This ministry is open the second Tuesday of each month from 1 PM to 3 PM. You must bring a photo ID to receive food items. If you would like to volunteer with this ministry, contact Sher Meek at 972-333-9995.

Grief care

GRIEF RECOVERY

This is a support group that helps those who have lost a loved one. The first Wednesday of every month at 9:30 AM in Room 101E (Conference Room).  There will be a time to listen and share as well as a time for prayer.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

VAN MINISTRY

The Van Ministry focuses on bringing children and youth to Midweek Services on Wednesdays. Drivers go to Yantis, Alba, and Emory. We would love to have more drivers so that we can bring more children and youth to church! If you would like to volunteer with this ministry, contact Dan Usrey at 903-473-9523. If your child needs to be picked up by the van, please fill out the paperwork below.

FELLOWSHIP & ENCOURAGEMENT

PICKLEBALL MINISTRY

Lake Fork Pickleball Ministry exists to spur one another on in encouragement, fellowship, and friendly competition. We have several seasoned players who love to share their knowledge with those just learning pickleball and with those who have never played before! 

Play Times:
Mondays - 5 to 7 PM
Tuesdays - 9:30 AM to 7 PM
Fridays - 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM

PRAYER & OUTREACH

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY

Work from home in this ministry that spreads the Word of God's love and grace by making and giving prayer shawls. As you make the shawl, please be praying over it and for its future recipient. Contact Dana Penney for more information.

FELLOWSHIP

monday night fishing

Invite others from the community to join you! Teams of two go out and fish for a couple of hours and record their total weight. Top 3 Teams will be featured on our Facebook Page. W meet every other week at 5 PM at various boat ramps from May to September.

EDUCATION

LIBRARY MINISTRY

Check out Christian-based fiction books, devotionals, Bible studies, and more! We also have several photo books available for perusing. The library is open during regular church office hours. The library is located in the Education Building.

FELLOWSHIP & THE WORD

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY

All men are invited! Join us for a time of fellowship and encouragement and dive into The Word. This ministry offers a time and place to encourage each other to draw closer to Him and to grow in our daily walk. Bible Study occurs every other Monday Night at 6 PM. Dates are announced in the church bulletin, the Men's Facebook Page, and our website.

senior adult ministry

Our Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) meets the fourth Thursday of each month from 11 AM to 1 PM. Food, fellowship, and a special program are presented. Day trips are planned each month as well. We have attended concerts, visited museums and special events, and we always make sure a great meal is always included in each trip.

FELLOWSHIP

QUILTING MINISTRY

Anyone with a love for quilting is invited to join us. If you are a beginner, we have ladies that can help you get started. If you are a seasoned quilter, come share your knowledge! Tuesdays from 9 AM to 4 PM in the Family Life Center.

PRAYER

SOMEBODY IS PRAYING

A prayer ministry group that meets every Wednesday at 3:30 PM in the Education Building to pray over our church family, church staff, upcoming church services, events, and outreach opportunities as well as specific prayer requests for church family members.

FELLOWSHIP & OUTREACH

SEWING MINISTRY

This ministry sews bibs, lap robes, walker caddies, and bed bags for area nursing homes and assisted living centers as well as blankets for the child advocacy center. 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM  in the Family Life Center.

SERVICE AND OUTREACH

KITCHEN MINISTRY

Our kitchen ministry exists to extend the hands and feet of Jesus by cooking and serving quality meals and refreshments for our church and community. Teams are scheduled to work weekly rotations throughout the year on Wednesdays nights for Midweek meal services. Volunteers are also utilized for church family gatherings and ministry outreach events throughout the year.

SERVICE & OUTREACH

MEDIA MINISTRY

Our media ministry helps to effectively share The Gospel by providing livestream camera service, soundboard maintenance, and worship lyrics and sermon points during Sunday Morning services, Midweek services, and special outreach events throughout the year.

VOLUNTEER BUILDERS

Volunteers work on various projects for the church, local ministry organizations, and church family members and community members in need. Open to all men of the church regardless of skill level. Tuesdays at 8 AM in the Family Life Center.

ENCOURAGEMENT & HEALTH

WALK THE WALK

All Women's Exercise Class onMonday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 8:30 AM. Meet in the Family Life Center for low impact aerobic exercises at the beginner to intermediate level.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Serves as an outreach for women of all ages to gather together for fellowship, discipleship, and outreach so that we might be Christ's echo every day. Events are announced via the bulletin, website, and Lake Fork Women's Ministry Facebook Page.

This ministry provides backpacks full of food for local students to have over the weekend.

MARRIAGE

re|engage

Re|engage is discipleship-based enrichment for every marriage – the healthy, the struggling, and the broken. This ministry draws married couples to the church, giving them a safe place to move toward oneness through small groups, teaching, and stories of hope.
