CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

tHE cove & THE BRIDGE

"CHILDREN ARE A HERITAGE FROM THE LORD, OFFSPRING A REWARD FROM HIM. LIKE ARROWS IN THE HANDS OF A WARRIOR ARE CHILDREN BORN IN ONE’S YOUTH."

psalm 127:3-4

Our volunteers guide children in kindergarten through sixth grade to grow in the understanding of God and His One and Only Son, Jesus.

who's involved?

Every volunteer who leads in the Children's Ministry has had a background check and is committed to making the ministry a safe, Biblically relevant, and fun environment for your kids.

CREATIVE

TEACHING

Children will focus on a Bible study during their lesson time. We attempt to include an activity and/or craft with each Bible lesson.

FUN

SPACE

We make every effort to help your child feel welcome and loved.

We offer a variety of hands on learning activities and open groups discussion opportunities to dive into God's Word.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The heart of Preschool & Children's ministry at our church is to teach kids about who God is and how His word applies to their lives in creative and memorable ways. It is our goal to help your child connect with God, to know that God loves and cares for us, and wants our trust and obedience. Part of our goal is to help your child respond by trusting Jesus as Savior; by thanking, serving, and praising God; by believing God's promises and obeying His commands.

  • When are your services?

    Sunday School - 9:15 AM

Sunday Morning Worship - 10:30 AM

Midweek Wednesday Evening Worship - 6:15 PM

  • What should my child wear?

This is a personal decision. Sometimes our Children's Ministry volunteers plan crafts with glue, glitter, paint, etc. So casual clothing is recommened but we also love seeing your children in their "Sunday Best" should you choose to dress your child up.

  • What are the ages for Children's Ministry?

We offer Children's Ministry Services for children in 1st grade up through 6th grade. Children are divided into classes by grade. On Wednesdays, our bridge ministry consists of 5th and 6th graders.

  • Where do I park?

The best place to park for parents and guardians is our south parking lot (behind the church). Enter through the Children's Ministry Building for check in.

  • Where is check in?

Check in is located in the foyer of our Children's Building.

  • What is the Cove?

The Cove is our Children's Ministry. We serve Children in Kindergarten through to Fourth Grade.

  • What is The Bridge?

The Bridge is a Children's Ministry class that serves as a "bridge" between our Children's Ministry and Youth Ministry. The 5th and 6th grade classes meet on their own on Wednesday nights separate from younger grades. This allows our 5th & 6th grade students time to grow in their faith and to foster relationships with their peers prior to entering our Youth Ministry.

  • How can I volunteer in Children's Ministry?

Email our Children's Minister Sharon Warner at swarner@lakeforkbaptist.org to volutneer. You MUST pass a background check to volunteer in our Children's Ministry.
